HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

  • ​​Arrive to your appointment with a clean face.
  • Do not work out the day of your appointment.
  • Do not get any facial treatments, Botox or fillers 2 weeks prior to your procedure. 
  • Do not have a sunburn (on treatment area) the day of your appointment.
  • Discontinue use of all Retinols/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams, or serums containing acids for 7 days prior to your appointment (Microneedling appts).
  • Do NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil and/or Ibuprofen 24 hours prior to your procedure.  Please do NOT discontinue any of these if medically prescribed by your doctor. Tylenol is fine.
  • Please notify Erin if you currently are taking any prescribed blood thinners. You may need to consult with your provider prior to your appointment.
  • No Alcohol or Caffeine at least 24 hours prior to the procedure.
  • Plan ahead, bruising and swelling may occur
  • Botox/Dysport takes up to 2 weeks for maximum treatment effect
  • Lumps and bumps after dermal filler is common while to filler is integrating with the tissue. Be patient!

  • If you have a history of cold sores (even if you have only ever had one) you may need pre-medicate with an anti-viral to prevent an outbreak.  The lip filler procedure can cause an outbreak.  You can get this prescription from your doctor. It is recommended to start the prescription 2 days prior to your procedure and continue for 7 days after your procedure (10 days total).
    • Schedule your appointment 2 weeks after any dental work was done and wait 2 weeks after lip filler to schedule dental procedures.
    • Make sure to drink plenty of water. This helps your skin stay hydrated and aids with healing.
    • Avoid drinking from straws for the first 2 weeks after to minimize filler migration
    • Avoid spicy foods for 24-48 hours for comfort
    • Ice may be applied post treatment 
    • Multiple sessions may be needed to build structure and enhance volume.

  • Sick with cold, flu, or sinus/respiratory infection (please reschedule your appointment and stay home to recover)
  • Skin irritations including: sunburn, rash, eczema, shingles, acne, or psoriasis near the treated area
  • Pregnant or nursing
  • Under age 18
  • Had Botox or fillers within 2 (6 weeks preferred) weeks from scheduled micro needling appointment
  • Used Accutane in the past year
  • Diabetes
  • Epilepsy
  • Undergoing chemotherapy
  • Prone to keloid scarring
  • Pacemaker or major heart problems
  • Had an organ transplant
  • Viral infections and or diseases
  • Transmittable blood disease, HIV or Hepatitis
  • History of stroke, CVA, bells palsy
  • Had a previous reaction to products/medications being used
  • Known allergy to lidocaine, benozcaine, Tetracaine
